Interior Design Intern

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participate in general business development activities, marketing, and creative assignments

• Support the Principal and/or other Project Managers in interpreting/developing concepts that meet the client brief and budget

• Translate initial concepts (with direction) into detailed 3D models and plans

• Manage drawing documentation

• Prepare mood boards, color schemes and finish palettes

• Source and specify finishes, fixtures, furniture, fabrics, lighting, artwork, etc

• Undertake site and furniture surveys

• Facilitate visioning and discovery sessions and participate during client interviews

• An enthusiastic and resourceful team player

Desired Skills and Experience:

• 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in interior design working for an architecture or interior design firm or contract furniture dealer

• Bachelor’s degree in design or final years of school (Interior Design or Architecture)

• Fluent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

• Fluent in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, 3D rendering and other design software

• Strong verbal & written communication skills in English

• Excellent attention to detail; Ability to multi-task

• Planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Self-motivated, team-player attitude

• Ability to communicate well with others

• Passion for modern design
